Lack of Motivation

I am completely lacking motivation to write my 6-8 page single spaced paper on information literacy in public libraries working with children. I did a great job earlier today and wrote/finished my guest speaker summary report and turned it in. And I did print a bunch of articles off to work on this info lit paper, but I don't feel like reading/interpreting/making a paper out of them right now. Even if the paper is due on Thursday. I've felt very unmotivated all semester, and with just over a week left of school and 4 things due Thursday (1 done, 1 mostly done, 2 related and will be done together) I feel that I should be in panic mode. And maybe I am in panic mode and my panic mode is saying "Just shut down, reboot in 2 weeks" If only I had that luxury. I figured I could update quickly and then try again with the articles.

It has been a crazy 5-6 days! Thursday after class I drove to EL to see the Lion King. It was awesome and we got to go back stage after the show, which was even cooler. I did learn that I need to go get my eyes checked since we were in the balcony and when the lionesses came out it took me almost the entire number to figure out what they were. I had a hard time seeing any type of detail, just about everything looked blurry to me. Alas.

Friday morning I got up and signed up for my classes (I got into everything I wanted, and I found a cognate! Praise the Lord!). Then I headed to Ford Field to watch the Spartans open practice. It was pretty awesome and I got to see the inside of Ford Field set up for the Final Four for free. I also went to the pep rally in the evening and it was great to spend time with fellow Spartans and I got to meet Kristina's boyfriend :) After driving back from that I got dressed for SI Prom: 80's and Space. It was fun in my flash dance style outfit, but I was wiped out from the long day so I didn't stay all that late.

Saturday was the SSBB tournament at the library. It went off without too many problems, and with all the notes hopefully the one I have to run by myself this summer will run smoothly. I drove like a manic and listened to the first half to get to EL for the Final Four game. I made it with 22 seconds left in the first half. Skill I tell you. Watching us win was fantastic and we went and rang the bell at church afterward and celebrated with much of the rest of EL.

Sunday was uneventful. Monday I drove back for class and PT (which is going well) and then drove back to EL for the National Championship game. UNC is clearly a better team than us, and it was a great season. I only wish that the refs would have stopped picking on us for one game, I feel there's no need to call touch fouls when the team that's going to get to shoot is up by 20. But maybe that's just me. I also think they need to get some eyes since Hansbrough triped Lucious while Lawsen threw a bit of a shoulder in and the foul got called on Lucious. It wouldn't have made a difference in the score, but it sucks that much more when they hit you while you're already down and out. But enough complaining about the game. UNC deserved and congrats to them. Spartans still are going to put up two new banners in the rafters of the Bres and we showed everyone that we're better and work harder than anyone gives us credit for. Congrats on a great season and thanks to the Seniors: Walton, Suton, Idong and Gray for everything. We'll miss you next season.

Today after driving back and going to lecture I worked hard on the guest speaker paper and got it done. One less thing to worry about. And I suppose I've put off working on this synthesis paper long enough for now and should get back to work.

Currently Reading: Suite Scarlett
Currently Listening: Make Lemonade (finished this morning, it was good) and 3 Willows (starting tomorrow)
