Keeping At It

I've sent out 19 job applications in the last two weeks. And so far I've only gotten 1 no. But it's still early in the game (particularly for those 3 I did yesterday and the 1 I did this morning). I am desperately hoping and praying that someone that's getting these will finally pull my name out and give me a call for an interview. I do have a second interview at the local bookstore this afternoon, but that is so I have something to do while I keep trying to find some place that will grant me the chance to start my career with them.
Other than applying for jobs like a mad-woman I've been working on the second half of a baby gift for a friend who is due next month. I'm hoping to finish the bunny today, I just have to make and attach the ears, sew on some eyes and the attach the head to the body. I've given up on finishing my shawl this month and I'm going to attempt to start and finish an OSU scarf for a friend in the next week instead. I think it should work just fine since the last scarf I made only took 3 days. Oh! And my dad and I built a yarn swift so I can turn hanks into balls. It works wonderfully and is very pretty. I'll upload a picture of it next time.
I'm re-reading Harry Potter to get ready for the first part of Deathly Hallows that comes out in 56 days. I'm on book 4, but knowing me it won't take too much longer to get through the rest of them.
And in football news: I watched the game at home last weekend and I spent the whole time wishing I was there. I miss football Saturday's in Spartan Stadium like I'm missing a part of myself. And if you've missed it, please keep Coach Dantonio in your thoughts after his heart attack following the win Saturday. He's finally out of the hospital, but still has a long way to go before he will be back on the field.
