Spring Break!!

I know that spring break is still about 5 weeks away, but I'm going on an alternative spring break that SI puts on and I got my assignment today! I'm going to be interning at the Library of Congress for the week doing collection development and working on a finding aid. It's going to be a blast. I just wish that it was really spring when we had spring break and not the end of February when it's still snowing. Although a week in DC should be tons of fun no matter what, and it's at the Library of Congress, it does not get any sweeter than that.

Since I'm updating anyways I can fill in for the weekend. I drove over to EL Saturday morning to go Cross Country skiing with Chris, Brad and IVAC (an organization that Brad is president of at MSU) and it was fun even if it was cold. Chris and I skied mostly by ourselves, and I took a bunch of pictures, mainly self portraits. After skiing we went out for lunch at this great Mexican food place that probably has the best Mexican food you can get in Michigan. The rest of the day was spent not doing much at all. Today was also fairly uneventful although MSU basketball did great with both the men and women winning today against OSU and Wisconsin respectively. Hopefully both teams will keep wining and continue on with their great seasons. I also went to see Chanticleer at the Wharton tonight with Chris and other people from Canterbury. Chanticleer is a men's acapella group that is wonderful. I think their last set of 3 songs were my favorite. They sang a spiritual, Shenandoah, and a beautiful peace that was jazz and opera at once (I am blanking on the names of the first and last songs). It was a great experience and I'm glad that I went.
Tomorrow I have to take my car to the Ford Dealer to get the master cylinder replaced because there are too many lights on on my dash. It should be oh so much fun at 7:30 tomorrow morning.
Hope everyone had an excellent weekend!
