1. I graduated in April with my MSI. And CB graduated the following week. It was a fun filled end of April/beginning of May with all our graduations.
2. I started crocheting (and taught myself to knit) more since I joined a Harry Potter group on Ravelry in May. I have made a ton of stuff, and really improved my skills. One of my fellow Gryffindor's is getting me started on spinning my own yarn too! She sent me a drop spindle and some batting to get started yesterday. I am beyond excited and grateful for her generosity to help me start another craft. Hopefully I will pick it up as fast as I did knitting.
3. I still have not found a full time job. I am searching like crazy. I think I've sent out 8 applications in the last week!
4. But starting in June I have been working for a small non-profit that runs a summer time AmeriCorps program in Texas. It has certainly been a learning experience, but the heat is getting to me and I'll be glad to be done next week. CB came with me and we have been living with my Aunt and Uncle for the summer.
5. When we finish on Friday next week CB and I will be driving back up north for a well deserved week of vacation at our favorite place on earth. I am counting down the days to the lake.
6. I'm going to try and do better about updating. Perhaps with my lack of a job I will have a bit of time between working on job applications and knitting/crocheting/spinning.
And now I'll leave you with pictures of a few of my favorite items I made during my first term at Hogwarts (on Ravelry of course)!
My 3rd Knitted Item (and first hat!) and a scarf for June's Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Both Harry Potter Movie Inspired Items!
My 4th Knitted Item was this iPod sock for one of my dear friend's birthday (and for June's History of Magic class)
A crocheted Dilbert for my Dad's birthday (and July's Potions class)
And my first ever pair of fingerless mitts, made for a friend and for July's Charms class.
And on that note: DFTBA
