Phew!

Finally able to take a little break to blog! It's been busy as I started my new job last week. Although the time at work hasn't been that busy yet. My first two weeks (so last week and this week) are training/shadowing a librarian at a smaller branch. This is not to say that it hasn't been busy, fun and exciting, just not as crazy as I had been expecting. I met the assistant yesterday! She is wonderful and I am super excited to get to work with her. I think we are going to make a great team. Next week will be a bit crazier since I will start at my branch (Pearland) and the assistant is going to be gone so I'm on my own with 2 story times, 2 Wii gaming programs and a book club! But I'm super excited and none of it is anything new, I've done all these types of programs before.
I haven't gotten much knitting done, or at least not as much as I would like. I am doing 3 swaps this month (sending a package with yarn, a handmade item and other little things and someone else sends you the same type of package). They are a lot of fun, but I'm feeling overwhelmed trying to get everything ready to send by next week! I did get a shawl done for one, and I'm mostly done with a tea cup for a second (actually as soon as I finish updating I'm going to finish it) and I've been working on things I've had going for a while now too. And I took a spinning class 2 weeks ago that I really enjoyed. Here is a picture of my first 3 attempts at spinning and the shawl!
