Last Day

Today was my last day. I spent the morning learning about the Local History and Genealogy division and sitting in a presentation to a class from George Mason University. I really enjoyed the LH&G stuff. It makes me want to do some Genealogy research on my family. Then after a quick lunch I went back and said goodbye to everyone in the department and went to the wrap up ceremony. I got a certificate and a really nice display cover for it. It has been a great week. I learned a lot about doing reference in a huge library and a lot about how things work at the Library of Congress. I also got to offer my opinions on things that they are having problems with, which was nice. Overall I think this was a great experince and I'm really glad I came.

When we got done socializing we headed back to the hotel because Rachel hasn't been feeling well. Beth and I went to diner a bit later and then walked to the memorials and monuments. It was a nice evening and we had a lot of fun. To see pictures from this week check out my album on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2654571&id=2330150&l=e45ce
And if you were wondering what all my talk about the "Tots" is see their album:

I need to take Lori her power cord back and get ready for bed since we're leaving around 8 tomorrow, or rather I'm getting the car at 8 and then we are heading out. Hopefully we'll have a good drive back home and I can make it to Provence V with the rest of Canterbury!
